Shooting attack in Tel Aviv

Alon Bakal, 26, from Tel Aviv

January 1, 2016: Alon Bakal, 26, was one of two victims who were shot when an Israeli-Arab gunman opened fire on customers who were relaxing in the Simta Pub on Dizengoff Street, not far from Dizengoff Centre.

Alon, the pub manager, was born in the northern city of Carmiel. He was a fourth-year law student, and had recently moved to Tel Aviv where he was about to begin his articles at a Tel Aviv law firm.
His funeral took place Sunday January 3rd in his hometown of Carmiel.
