Man killed from mortar in DimonaOuda Lafi al-Waj, 32
July 19, 2014 - Jul 19, 2014 - Ouda Lafi al-Waj, 32, was killed and three members of his family were injured, when a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip struck a small Bedouin settlement near Dimona.
Ouda Lafi al-Waj worked as a security guard at the Rotem fertilizer plant in Beersheba. He was the youngest of four in his family. He was an avid motorcyclist, who rode down to Eilat every year with a group of riders, Jews and Arabs. He was devoted to his two children.
On the day he was killed, he had prepared to host almost 40 people for the Ramadan evening meal. "We'll give the whole family a good time, and especially the children," he said.
Ouda Lafi al-Waj is survived by his wife Khatam and his son, 5, and daughter, 4 months.
