One of three Israelis murdered in TurkeySimha Dimri, 59, of Dimona
March 19 2016 - Simha Dimri, 59, of Dimona, was one of three Israelis murdered in the terror attack in Istanbul, Turkey.
The suicide bomber identified the group of Israelis as they were entering a restaurant, followed them in and detonated his suicide vest. An additional eleven Israelis were injured in the blast. An Iranian citizen was also killed, and dozens more were injured.
The Ministry of Defense has recognized the 14 Israeli victims the terror attack in Istanbul as official victims of hostilities, after determining there is a reasonable basis for the belief that the attack was directed at Israelis.
Simha, together with her husband Avi, who was also wounded in the attack, were members of an organized tour to Istanbul, which was targeted by the terrorist.
Dimri, a prominent and much loved member of her community, was a retired kindergarten teacher and grandmother from the southern city. She was buried in the Dimona cemetery on Monday, 21 March 2016, and is survived by husband Avi, three sons, a daughter and five grandchildren.
